French developer Quantic Dream has announced that it will bring its own Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human games to the PC.
A few weeks ago, the French development studio Quantic Dream had announced that it is entering into a partnership with the Chinese company NetEase and in future again multiplatform developments.
The interactive thrillers get a new platform
However, the studio has already announced today that the last major titles from their own home will also find their way to the PC. Thus, “Heavy Rain”, “Beyond: Two Souls” and “Detroit: Become Human”, which were previously available exclusively for PlayStation platforms, will come to the Rechenknecht later this year.
All three adventures will initially be distributed exclusively at the Epic Games Store, with exclusivity expected to be valid for a year before the games will be released in other PC stores. In an official statement, Guillaume de Fondaumiere, co-CEO of Quantic Dream, said:
“We are grateful for the twelve fantastic years of working with Sony Interactive Entertainment and everything they have created and produced for us. With this new partnership with Epic, we can now expand our products to a larger fan base and allow PC players to enjoy our games. “
Epic Games is also excited about the collaboration and is pleased to welcome well known and established studios like Quantic Dream in the Epic Games Store. After all, they are also considered the pioneers of a whole genre. So Steve Allison said in the following:
“Their games have truly pioneered the genre of interactive storytelling, and with their expansion to other platforms, we truly feel honored that they’ve decided to take the first step with Epic Games.”
Concrete release dates have not yet received “Heavy Rain”, “Beyond: Two Souls” and “Detroit: Become Human”. Whether the games could thus come to other consoles, is not known. Maybe one day you will see the three interactive thrillers on the Xbox One as well. As soon as the company reveals further details, we will bring you up to date.
