Obsidian Entertainment reminiscent of a launch trailer to the release of the role-playing game “Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire”, which can now be tackled on the PC. In addition, versions for the three consoles PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch are planned, which are to be supplied in the autumn of this yearly.
Building on the foundation of the first Pillars of Eternity, the developers wanted to create a more dynamic world. “Starting today, fans of the studio and the original game can experience all the improvements, innovations, and upgrades that this classic RPG has experienced, and we’re delighted that we’ve helped make Obsidian’s vision a reality, and we look forward to seeing the RPG fans around the world watch as they explore the world of Deadfire, “said the launch press release.
As part of the crowdfunding campaign, the developers took around $ 4.4 million. That is more than four times the actual target sum. The additional revenue has contributed to the fact that “Pillars of Eternity 2” could be completely set to music – at least in English. German texts and subtitles will also be available.
