This afternoon, Blizzard Entertainment officially announced the anniversary event for Overwatch. Thus, the players can adjust to some new content. A free weekend should also be offered for interested players.
Blizzard Entertainment has officially announced that it will host an anniversary event in the hero shooter “Overwatch” from May 22, 2018 through June 12, 2018. So you can look forward to new content, including 50 brand new cosmetic extras and the Deathmatch card “Petra”, as well as the return of all seasonal cosmetic extras and some past Brawls.
The 50 new extras include eight legendary and three epic skins, with Doomfist, Moira and Brigitte receiving new dance emotes. The returning seasonal extras also include last year’s Dance Emotes. The returning Brawls will be integrated into the arcade and switch in a daily rotation. The archive brawls are also included.
In addition to the brand new Deathmatch card, a new ranking mode for Deathmatch with placement matches, game levels and leaderboards will be integrated into the game. All players who log in during the event will receive a legendary anniversary loot box with a guaranteed legendary extra. If you buy the package with 50 Lootboxen, you get an additional legendary anniversary Lootbox donated. The Lootboxes can include all extras from past seasonal events during the event.
Finally, another free weekend was announced. Thus, all interested players from 25 to 29 May 2018 can play for free “Overwatch” and extensively all heroes, cards and content. On May 22, 2018, a “Overwatch: Legendary Edition” with the main game and 15 skdins (legendary, epic, Origin) will be released in a digital version.
