Game Director Jeff Kaplan has announced that “Overwatch” now has 40 million players. Of course this is not the same as the sales figure. A new video provides more details about the new event.
A new developer video was released on Overwatch, in which Game Director Jeff Kaplan talks a bit about the hit shooter and calls it a new number: So far, more than 40 million players have come in contact with Overwatch. Of course, that does not mean that the title was sold 40 million times. Rather, also include the players who have played a round “Overwatch” in the context of free events and the like. Still, it’s an impressive number.
In addition, Jeff Kaplan talks about the upcoming Anniversary Event, which will take place from May 22, 2018 until June 12, 2018, in the video below for Overwatch. The event will bring you new content, including more than 50 cosmetic extras and the Deathmatch “Petra” card.
