Capcom executives have achieved an inimitable success with the PC version of the action RPG “Monster Hunter World”, which even outruns the Xbox One.
Capcom’s Monster Hunter World action role-playing game has become the most successful game in the company’s history since it was released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in early 2018, and for the PC the following autumn.
The PC has a tremendous significance
Meanwhile, Antoine Molant, Capcom’s marketing director for the EMEA and UK territories, has stressed that the PC is the second most successful platform for Monster Hunter World. Since the PlayStation 4 version was able to record an immense success, especially in Japan, the PC will have surpassed the Xbox One. So Molant said to the PC:
“Without going into details, it’s the second largest Monster Hunter World of all platforms, so it’s incredibly important.”
Furthermore, the PC version should have driven the overall performance of the game. However, Molant had also commented on the late release for the PC:
“Although we always try to treat our different publishers equally, the console versions were the lead platforms and the PC had to be provisioned at a later date. This actually helped because the PC version had its own window for advertising, PR and marketing. Some countries like Germany or Russia have done extremely well on the PC front. All of this has really increased our success in Europe. “
In the fall of 2019, the console will begin with the extensive “Iceborne” expansion before it will follow at a still unknown time for the PC.
