At this year’s E3, Bethesda Softworks claims to announce several new projects. Could a new offshoot of the “Doom” series also be found among these?
In about two months, the Los Angeles Convention Center will be hosting this year’s E3 offshoot, which may cause another surprise.
The US publisher Bethesda Softworks, who confirmed during the week that they want to announce several new projects at this year’s E3, is also in the party. After speculating in the past few hours what the company could refer to in detail, PR spokesman Pete Hines might have anticipated a surprise.
Doom: announcement of a new title at the E3 2018 implied?
So Hines lost in a recent interview a few words about the internal preparations for the E3 2018 and chose a wording that made listeners of the “Doom” series sit up. So he spoke of the “hell on earth” or in the English original “this is the bright on Earth time for us with E3”.
It goes without saying that fans of the series in this formulation quickly to “Doom 2: Hell on Earth” from 1994 thought. A simple coincidence? Or did Hines deliberately choose this phrase to arouse the hype in the run-up to the E3?
In about two months we are smarter.
