In a recent interview, Eidos Montréal’s “Deus Ex” developers have stressed that cyberpunk adventures have not been written off and the series continues to have a future.
The “Deus Ex” developers of Eidos Montréal are currently working on a new game. However, this is not Adam Jensen’s latest adventure. Instead, “Shadow of the Tomb Raider” is the final outcome of Lara Croft’s original story. However, the responsible studio boss David Anfossi has emphasized in a recent interview that the “Deus Ex” series has not yet been written off.
“Deus Ex is here, we did not forget Deus Ex, we set up the studio with this franchise, we gave blood, sweat and everything to restart this franchise and stay true to it,” said Anfossi. “So she’s not dead. She’s not dead. We just have to think about the future and treat her properly and respectfully.”
After “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided” failed to achieve the expected financial success, Square Enix apparently wanted to give the developers some fresh wind. The developers of Eidos Montréal had recently stressed that they have “Shadow of the Tomb Raider” has taken over, because change for a team is of enormous importance. You may return to the “Deus Ex” brand after completing the Lara Croft adventure and incorporate the new experiences.
