The three protagonists in “Detroit: Become Human” each have their own soundtrack missed, with which three different composers were entrusted.
Guillaume de Fondaumière, the lead producer of “Detroit: Become Human,” is pulling the strings on the PlayStation blog for more information on the game’s soundtrack. Among other things, it became clear that due to the fact that three different protagonists are active in the game, three composers were hired.
“Although Kara, Connor and Markus are androids, they are significantly different in nature, background and function within society,” says Guillaume de Fondaumière. “To illustrate these three very different stories, we decided to put the original soundtrack in the hands of three composers to work out different musical nuances that fit the identities and underline their individual story.”
It also states, “In order to highlight Connor’s cold and mechanical behavior, we chose a primarily electronic soundtrack, for Kara we wanted emotional, moving music that underscored her quest for identity, love and empathy.” For Markus, an epic soundtrack hovered that reflects the sublime aspect of his journey. ” You can listen to the tracks via Soundcloud and there is also a matching video available. Below we summarized the statements of the composers.
Karas Composer: Cellist Philip Sheppard
• “First, we contacted Philip Sheppard, the composer of Kara’s soundtrack, and we chose one of his compositions at a very early stage of development when we were searching for suitable music for the Detroit announcement trailer (PGW’15 David was particularly impressed by the title “Wind Storm” and his pulsating cello passages, Philip himself is a cellist and has been composing soundtracks for film and television for many years. ”
Connors Composer: Nima Fakhrara
• “Then we contacted Nima Fakhrara, who already caught our eye on his work on the movie ‘The Signal’ (directed by Will Eubank), and what fascinated us was that Nima created his own instruments for his projects, and we thought that This approach might also be interesting for ‘Detroit: Become Human’ and Connor’s very own character. ”
Markus’ composer: John Paesano
• “Joe Paesano’s epic orchestral compositions on ‘Daredevil’ (Netflix) and ‘Maze Runner – The Chosen One in the Labyrinth’ (directed by Wes Ball) have aroused our interest in his work and his approach seemed to us to be the perfect choice.”
“Detroit: Become Human” will be released in Europe on May 25, 2018 for the PlayStation 4 on the market.
