While “Detroit Become Human” is just a few days away, you can engage in an interactive audio story about Amazon’s Alexa.
In collaboration with Amazon, Sony Interactive Entertainment Germany has released a skill for Alexa named “The Case of Rachel: The Fate of an AI” and puts you in a scenario similar to that of “Detroit Become Human”. The Alexa skill tells the story of the near future of our everyday life, where android and artificial intelligence, according to Sony, are an integral part of life.
“The interactive audio book adventure ‘The Rachel: Fate of AI’, recorded by professional speakers, also takes the player into the not-so-distant future of a momentous incident: female police Android Rachel and her human partner David investigate a supposed routine case that takes her to the darkest corners of Chicago, “Sony said in today’s press release.
The task of the listener is to direct the story in a very individual direction through their own decisions. According to Sony, the story is based on the principle of “Choose your own adventure” and is intended to provide a variety of far-reaching storyline sequences as new options are unlocked that often remain hidden.
“The adventure then rates the player’s performance by stating a percentage that matches his beliefs, inspiring the listener to re-enter the interactive adventure on an alternate path,” Sony concludes.
