In the case of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4”, there will probably be the 30-day DLC exclusivity for the PlayStation 4 again. This is indicated by a spot where Activision draws attention to the release of the shooter this week.
It has been known for some time that “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” will be revealed on May 17, 2018 with the first information, after basically just confirming that the shooter exists. Advertisements will be made on Twitter for the upcoming revelation event. And one of the tweets was populated with a short clip that could provide an indication of the DLC policy.
Because at the end of the short video we see a reference to the PlayStation 4 Pro, which is explicitly advertised in the video for “Call of Duty Black Ops 4”. Such affiliate partnerships are the norm in the case of the “Call of Duty” series and include a feature that has an impact on the publication of download extensions.
The reference to the PlayStation 4 Pro at the end of the ad is likely to be an indication that the DLC packs will return to the usual 30-day DLC exclusivity for the PlayStation 4. In a few days we will have certainty. However, it is already certain that “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” will be released on 12 October 2018 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
